Faith in the Public Square Book Club

Faith in the Public Square Book Club - next Wednesday 28th May 7-9pm, Cynthia Poulton Hall, St Peter's Cathedral, North Adelaide. We will be discussing Mark Labberton's "The Dangerous Act of Worship: Living God's Call to Justice"

This coming Wednesday, we will look at the following questions amongst others:

If worship is the enactment of what are to be our two great loves, for God and our neighbour, why and in what ways are they inseparable? Why do we nevertheless forget or separate them?"(Ch2);
Ïn what ways does being 'in Christ' give us a new address in the world?"(Ch5);
After summarising the heart of problems with power in the world, what windows does the Bible give into the nature of power abuse and injustice?"(Ch7). -

Time permitting, we will also start discussing a piece from "Not I: Memoirs of a German Childhood" by Joachin Fest (copies will be provided) - the theme of this discussion will be around the theme "Can there be absolution for those who continue to hate?"
